Job Overview

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer (Playwright) to join a team building a cloud-based fintech platform focused on international tax compliance and regulatory reporting. The solution helps organizations and individuals automate tax-related processes, manage compliance requirements, and streamline complex cross-border financial operations.

 

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions while working closely with experienced QA and Engineering professionals. This role offers an opportunity to deepen your automation expertise, improve testing processes, and contribute to the quality of a modern fintech product.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated tests for web and API applications using Playwright
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and investigate test failures
  • Report, verify, and help troubleshoot defects
  • Collaborate with Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners
  • Contribute to automation framework improvements and test coverage expansion
  • Follow QA best practices, automation standards, and development processes

Requirements

  • 1+ year of commercial experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
  • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or a similar automation framework
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Experience with web and API testing
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
  • Understanding of SDLC and QA best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing, maintaining, and scaling Playwright automation frameworks
  • Experience with API testing and REST tools (e.g., Postman)
  • SQL knowledge for test data validation
  • Experience working in fintech, compliance, or highly regulated domains
