Exoft created a digital signage and content management platform for senior living communities, retirement homes, and assisted living providers. With this solution, care teams can easily create, schedule, and share content for residents on digital displays, TV screens, and printed materials, all from one place. The system includes a drag-and-drop content editor, real-time content delivery, multi-timezone scheduling, and Android TV support. It can handle up to 1,000 connected display devices in one facility and helps operators manage resident communications more efficiently across different locations.

The Client

Our client is an AgeTech software company that works with senior living communities in North America, Europe, Australia, and the UK. As the platform scaled internationally, digital communications became more important, creating the need for a centralized content management and display ecosystem.

The Challenge

Managing resident communications at scale presented a unique set of challenges.

Community managers had to share information across many locations, screens, and channels, while keeping everything accurate and current. Manual processes made updates slow and difficult as more facilities were added. The solution also had to work for facilities in different countries and time zones, and it needed to be simple enough for non-technical staff to use.

Our Cooperation & Services

Exoft joined the project as a long-term technology partner, helping the client transform an initial content management concept into a scalable digital signage ecosystem.

We handled everything from content creation tools and digital signage to Android TV setup and tech support. Our team was responsible for architecture design, frontend and backend development, QA, performance optimization, and deployment support.

Over the course of the project, we developed several core components of the platform, including:

  • a Canva-like drag-and-drop content editor
  • a centralized digital signage management system
  • Android TV applications for resident-facing displays
  • content scheduling and playlist management
  • printable calendar generation
  • real-time content synchronization across display networks

Solution

Content Builder

We built a drag-and-drop content editor so staff can create announcements, dining menus, activity schedules, birthday greetings, and community updates right in the platform, without needing extra design tools. The editor comes with reusable templates, image libraries, customizable layouts, and tools to manage playlists.

Staff can reuse content made in the editor for digital displays, resident messages, and printed materials. This saves time and keeps content consistent.

Digital Signage Management

The platform lets you control large networks of digital displays from one place in senior living facilities. Administrators can group screens into channels, assign content to certain locations, schedule when content appears, and manage communication for each facility.

Real-Time Content Distribution

Because schedules and announcements change often, the system keeps everything in sync in real time. When updates are made in the admin panel, they are sent out automatically to all connected devices. This way, residents always get the latest information.

Printable Calendar Builder

Many facilities still use printed schedules and noticeboards. To help with this, Exoft created a visual calendar builder. Staff can make custom activity calendars with drag-and-drop tools and export them as printable PDFs.

Global Deployment Support

The platform works for facilities on different continents. Operators can schedule content based on local needs, time zones, and community preferences.
