Job Overview
We are building an AI-powered healthcare platform that helps healthcare providers, patients, and pharmacies work with accurate prescription and medication data.
As the product continues to grow, we are looking for a Data & Integrations Engineer to take ownership of third-party integrations, external data feeds, and background data processing. You’ll work on integrating new pharmaceutical data sources, building reliable synchronization processes, and ensuring the stability of critical platform integrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration to a new pharmaceutical data source, including parsing, field mapping, and validating fixed-width flat-file feeds.
- Run legacy and new data sources in parallel to validate data parity before production cutover, while integrating new pricing benchmark data.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems, including a nightly CRM (Attio) synchronization.
- Improve the transactional email system by implementing event deduplication, notification preferences, and delivery volume controls.
- Develop and maintain scheduled background jobs with a focus on reliability and monitoring.
- Implement proactive alerting for critical background processes, including payment transfer jobs.
- Integrate public regulatory data feeds into internal review workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience working within large existing codebases.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party data sources, including flat files (fixed-width or delimited) and REST APIs.
- Experience handling real-world integration challenges, including schema changes, partial files, encoding issues, and unexpected vendor changes.
- Experience migrating or replacing third-party data sources, including validating data parity before production cutover.
- Experience with background jobs and scheduling, with a strong understanding of idempotency, retries, and failure recovery.
- Solid knowledge of Entity Framework Core and SQL Server, including writing database migrations.
- Ability to work confidently with third-party vendor documentation and critically validate external data.
- Upper-Intermediate level of English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with healthcare or pharmaceutical data (NDC, GTIN, GPI, AWP, WAC, NADAC).
- Experience with Hangfire.
- Experience with Customer.io or similar messaging platforms.
- Experience retiring or replacing legacy integrations, not only building new ones.
